Our target
We aim for this site to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA.
How we test it
On every change, automated checks run against every page:
- axe accessibility checks for WCAG 2.1 A and AA, in light and dark mode, at desktop and phone widths, in Chromium.
- Keyboard checks: the skip link comes first and moves focus to the content, and the meeting-page example on the home page can be switched with the arrow keys.
- Every page fits a 320-pixel-wide screen without sideways scrolling.
- Every page and the mobile menu work without JavaScript, and both contact forms offer an email address instead.
Automated checks can't establish full conformance. Before launch we're also testing the home page, the Title II page and the contact form with VoiceOver on Safari and NVDA on Firefox, checking the site at 200% zoom, and trying it in Firefox and Safari. We'll update this statement with the results.
Known issues
- The contact form's bot check is provided by Cloudflare Turnstile, which we don't control. If it doesn't work for you, email us at hello@clerkcast.com instead.
- The product examples on our pages are pictures of screens drawn in code. Apart from the switch above the home page example, their buttons aren't working controls.
